Ryan Lynch, outstanding
goaltender for Saratoga Blue Knights and Adirondack Black Bears, is the

Dave Gardner (Troy/Albany
Rivermen, 2003 - 2005) moved onto the Hudson Valley Eagles Junior A team
from 2005 - 2008, and then the Troy Eagles in 2008 - 2009. During
that season, Dave scored 25 goals and 30 assists in just 45 games,
carrying on his offensive prowess demonstrated in the NEMHL. He is
currently on a Junior A Russian independent team and is looking

Harris Severs was a member of
the NEMHL playing for the Division 2 Champion Griffin Flames from 2001 -
2005. He tried out for the Southern New Hampshire University varsity
team, but was not selected in the final cuts. Undeterred, he
subsequently became the Team Manager for his four academic years at SNHU.
He then was offered the chance to coach and currently is the
Assistant Coach

Jesse Minoski was a member of the NEMHL playing for the Watertown Redwings for four
seasons. He was the Assistant Captain as well as Captain of the team in
his senior year. Unfortunately, Jesse broke his collar bone and was
unable to play half of the season (he continued to attend practices,
games, and the banquet). He enlisted in the Marines and left for Boot

Jake and Zack Storms of the 1998-1999 and 1999-2000 Champion Seahawks raised $8,000 for the Essex Land Trust with their cross-country bicycle ride from Portland, Ore., back to Essex. Jake, 25, and Zack, 23, had left Oregon the first week of June, following a route through Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and home to Essex, CT (3,500 miles). 30-Aug-2007 |

Andy
Goyer, formerly of Division 2 Champion Albany Capitals and recipient
of an NEMHL scholarship and Sportsmanship awards, attends HVCC playing
both offense and defense. In his first 3 games, Andy received a

David Martinelli,
formerly Captain of the Seahawks team in the League's inaugural season and
first Division 1 Champion, is in his third year of graduate school at
Johns Hopkins, majoring in cell signaling in mouse embryonic development
with a focus on the Hedgehog gene for development of limbs and spinal

Mike Giard, outstanding player for the Griffin Flames starting in the 2003-2004 season, died on March 24, 2006. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. |

Freshman goalie,
Jon Dryjowicz-Burek, formerly
of the Springfield Jr Pics of the NEMHL 2001-2002 season, has been named
an All-American by the American Hockey Coaches Assoc.
Dryjowicz-Burek was named to the NCAA Division III East Second Team.
Dryjowicz-Burek is the second UMASS Dartmouth Corsair ever to be named an
All-American. Dryjowicz-Burek led Division III with a save
percentage of 0.941; interestingly, he had a save percentage of 0.942 in

Zach Altschul of the
Albany Capitals are currently playing for
Hudson

Carmen Guyer, former star goaltender for the
2003-2004 NEMHL champions, Troy/Albany Rivermen, is currently a goaltender for
the Hudson Valley Community College with a 3.54 GAA, 0.874 Save
percentage, and a 2-1 W-L record with 2 shutouts in 6 games. His
major is electrical construction and maintenance with a GPA of 2.82.

Four recent graduates from the NEMHL have secured positions on the Norwich Icebreakers Junior B Hockey Club which is a member of the Interstate Junior Hockey league. Stand-out Columbia goaltender Ryan Senerth handles the bulk of the games in net and continues to be a force even at this level. Forwards Mark Nine (Seahawks), Mike Giard (Flames) and Jared Vajnar (Cougars) not only are on the team but most often play together as a line. 14-Feb-2005 |

NEMHL Scholarship, is a sophomore at
Siena College in Loudonville, NY, majoring in computer science.

CT Junior Whaler player among "Who's Who" nationally
for academics:
AJ Royce has been recognized for his achievements in
the classroom showing his true work ethic. Royce accomplished this
recognition during the 2002-2003 season combining his committed schedule
to hockey and academics. 1-Sep-2003 |

David Baranowski, former starting goalie for the
Troy/Albany Rivermen and the
2000-2001 NEMHL Goaltender of the Year, is now the starting goalie for
the Hudson
Valley Community College hockey team. Dave has a goals against
average for HVCC lower than his 3.25 grade point average. Dave was

Scott Sukup, formerly with the
Schenectady Chargers and
Albany Jr River Rats, is now playing for Albany State Great Danes.
Scott's very impressive NEMHL career is followed by his 16 goals and 15
assists in 33 games which resulted in the Rookie Award at SUNY Albany.
Scott is studying atmospheric sciences (meteorology) with a 3.8 GPA while
playing within the Super East

Springfield Jr Pics Co-Captain,
Dave St. Lawrence, recently was
selected for an academic and athletic scholarship at Franklin Pierce
College in Rindge, NH. Dave finished the season with 5 goals and 11
assists and provided leadership for his young team on and off the ice.
